About the event
You may recognize the name Amy Blanding from her band Reckless Burning. Same with Melissa Walker and Genevieve Jaide. You may have seen them play with the full band at the Robson Valley Music Festival last year, but now they are coming to Valemount to spoil us with their solo playing, as a duo, and as a trio!
About Amy Blanding: Known for her profound songwriting, powerful voice, and electric stage presence, Amy Blanding collects moments in the Northern wild and turns them into stalwart, protest folk songs with a raw edge. Born in the four corners region of Navajo, Hopi, Ute, and Zuni territory (Colorado) and raised on the red shores of Epekwitk - Mi’kmaq territory (PEI) she took the long way home to the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh (Prince George). Cutting her teeth with nationally recognized folk rock band Black Spruce Bog, and boasting collaborations…
